Por nuestra parte, We strive to make financial entities understand that the collection of amounts owed by the sector requires a commitment to help, to modify production structures and thus try to move from the scarce 10 kg/m2 of current production at 20 from 22 that are easily obtained with these new structures”.
The aid pending collection refers to compensation for transportation for the year. 2010, which represents an amount of 11 million euros and aid per hectare of the campaign 2010/2011 which is from 17.860 euros/Ha.
From ACETO they demand the call for aid, vital for the modernization and competitiveness of the sector, of the lines of the PDR on which the Strategic Plan is based, since -according to Mesa- another year without calling could be detrimental.
Added to this claim is the demand for the use of photovoltaic energy greenhouses., since the change in the Royal Decree that regulates production has been a blow to this activity in general.
Regarding the present campaign, from ACETO they describe that “the beginning cannot be classified as good. Regarding prices, has had a good performance at the beginning of the campaign, but imports from Morocco are beginning to take their toll. “
