THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE GET TOGETHER AT THIS YEAR'S EDITION.
Once again, y of 24, lo mejor de la cabaña ganadera de Gran Canaria se dio cita en la Granja Agrícola de Bañaderos, en lo que fue la XXIV edición de la Exposición de Ganado Selecto.
Este año los ganaderos de la isla acudieron con cerca de mil cabezas de vacuno, goat, ovine, equine, cochino negro canario y razas autóctonas. Lo mejor de cada casa estuvo representado en una acto que requiere de un esfuerzo enorme a los ganaderos.
Así lo reconocieron el presidente del Cabildo, José M. Pérez, y el consejero de Ganadería, Demetrio Suarez, durante el acto de reconocimiento y entrega de distinciones a varias ganaderías insulares: “sabemos el enorme esfuerzo que hacen los ganaderos de la isla para mostrar lo mejor de sus cabañas estos dos días”.

The greatest recognition of ranchers is that of the thousands of visitors who come together to congratulate the ranchers year after year and recognize the work and vocation of a profession that, seems to be, is not on the verge of extinction.
This year's edition featured straw threshing exhibitions with horses and cows. Attendees were able to learn, first-hand, the organization of the cobras, group of animals that participate in threshing. In addition, there was a tasting of typical and artisanal products.
The ranchers of La Aldea, Francisco Pérez and Esteban Tovar, they recognized Agroaldea the enormous effort they have to make to be present in the exhibition, Since “All the animals do not come and those that stay must be cared for.”.
