The course, totally free, will be held from 16 from september to 2 October in the semi-face-to-face mode and the registration period ends the next day 8 September.

The Literary Cabinet of Las Palmas leads this project of the Biodiversity Foundation, financed by the European Social Fund, within the "Program for the promotion of young sustainable gardeners (Garden-SOorchardsS)"In which other entities collaborate.

The first course organized within this training program in the North of Gran Canaria is in the semi-face-to-face modality of 48 hours (16 face-to-face + 32 from distance), called: "Employing you in urban gardens" that will begin on 16 September and will end on 2 October, the registration period will be open until 8 September on the website www.jardinsos.org.

The course is completely free and is co-financed by the European Social Fund and the rest of the entities participating in the project.

This course is aimed at self-employed or employed workers of SMEs, micro-SMEs (both active and unemployed) linked to gardening activities, plant restoration and urban landscape, rehabilitation of urban green spaces, even horticulture, flower shop, etc.

People interested in increasing their skills and qualifications to improve their employability can also participate., intrapreneurship and promote the sustainability of their economic activities or self-employment.

The teachers in charge of teaching this course are Eugenio Reyes Naranjo, technician and educator of the Canarian Garden "Viera y Clavijo" and Valentín Brito Cabrera, business consultant.

The "Garden-SOS" project, that will run until January of next year, with different training actions, has been one of the 36 projects selected by the Biodiversity Foundation throughout Spain, which has opted for the Jardín-Sos project due to its potential to improve the employability of young people and promote the entrepreneurial spirit in the field of sustainable gardening.

The Literary Cabinet, as promoter of the project, has the collaboration of the Canarian Botanical Garden Viera y Clavijo (Cabildo Insular de Gran Canaria), the Intermunicipal Association of the Southeast of Gran Canaria, the Association of Municipalities of the North of Gran Canaria and the Unesco Center Gran Canaria, that co-finance the Jardín-Sos project.
