THE DOCUMENT SENT TO BRUSSELS DOES NOT COLLECT WHAT WAS APPROVED IN THE PARLIAMENT.

The President of Canary Coag, Rafael Hernández, He denounced the maneuver that has made the regional Ministry of agriculture, livestock and fisheries of the Canary Islands, to refer to the EU proposal on the distribution of the aid of the POSEI, in which aid to the sector of tomato has been amended.

Hernandez made reference to the parliamentary session last September in which all forces represented unanimously adopted the Strategic Plan for export of Canary Islands tomato.

Within that Plan includes an increase in the departure of the POSEI aimed at the tomato in relation to the kilos, as is done for the rest of agricultural and livestock productions.

However, COAG has discovered that in the document sent to Brussels this section has been modified, changing the relationship of kilos per hectare, with subsequent discrimination in relation to other products and "the lack of respect for the entire sector and Parliament itself", said Hernandez.

Since that had knowledge of this fact Canary Coag approached the Minister of agriculture, Pilar Merino, so he gave explanations regarding this action. To date they have not had any response.

With this proceed Coag Canary understands that dark interests are hidden with this ploy, since otherwise it is not explained why not looked to the sector a change that hurts and discriminates against the tomateros and, In addition, not collect what was approved in the Parliament.
