Agricultural Week XXXare met 30 Days uninterrupted years of reference for the agricultural sector of the island.

This Wednesday, 13 May at 20.00 hours, will take place the opening ceremony of the 30th edition of the Agricultural Week Sardina del Sur with the intervention of Ofelia Alvarado Santana, Councilor for Agriculture of the City of Santa Lucia and the Minister of Agriculture of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Francisco Santana.

At 20.15 hours, Technical Director of Culture at the Experimental Station of the Cajamar Palmerillas Foundation, David Erik Mica Ages, will give a lecture on "Experiences in Hortícolas with Zero Waste".

Then, Agricultural Extension Agent Brena Alta, La Palma, Enrique Huertas López, present the Sustainable Agriculture Program of the Cabildo de La Palma, which will be followed by Fabián Sánchez Garrido, Forest Engineer and Technical Engineer of Public Works. Technical advisor to the Insular Association for Animal Production Food Consumption (P.A.C.A.) who will speak on forage production, Cereals and Grasses in Gran Canaria.

Thursday, 14 may.

At 20.00 hours, the official chronicler of La Aldea de San Nicolás, Francisco Suarez Moreno, will present his latest book: Mine Water in Gran Canaria, which will include the introduction of Insular Managing Water Board Gran Canaria, Gerardo Enríquez.

At 21.00 hours, Agricultural Engineer, Rafael Solano Cremades, will speak on: Marinova F1, The new variety of tomato Multiresistant. At 21.30 hours the awards ceremony of the "Insular Cheese Tasting Contest" held in Saint Lucia will take place.

Friday, 15 may.

The day will begin at 20:00 hours with the paper: Test Export tomato varieties and other experiences, given by the Director of Horticultural Program of Agricultural Experimental Farm of Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Monagas Juan Rodríguez.
Will follow the presentation of the Head of International Relations of COAG, Rafael Hernandez Reyes, who will present the paper: the Posei, Prospects for new banana plantations.

The closing ceremony will include the involvement of the mayor of Ayto. Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Dunia González Vega and President of FEDEX, José Juan Bonny Miranda. The events will take place at the Cultural Center "Cinema", Sardina del Sur.
