The agreement reached by the Government and the Autonomous Communities, at Sectoral Conference, to implement the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (PAC) in Spain, includes the distribution of 8.053 million euros for the autonomies in the next seven years.Funds for rural development - complementary measures to direct aid- They are part of the CAP budget that the Spanish countryside will receive between 2015 and 2020, and which amounts to 47.000 million.
The exact amount for direct CAP aid by autonomies and what each farmer will receive has yet to be defined.. The agreement establishes, in rural development, that the General Administration of the State will provide a 30% of the national expenditure of each program of the Autonomous Communities, calculated taking into account the maximum co-financing rate allowed by EU rules.
Commitment involves distributing 8.053 million euros from the European Rural Development Fund (Feader) assigned to Spain, “avoiding sudden changes” and “distortions” in aid to the autonomies compared to the previous period (2007-2013), according to the text of the agreement released by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and environment.
The distribution by autonomies for rural development is as follows: Andalusia, with 1.906 million euros (23,7 % of the total); Aragon 466,8 million (5,8 %); Asturias, 325 million (4 %); Balearics, 61 million (0,8 %); Canary Islands 157,5 million (2 %); Cantabria 98,8 million (1,2%) and Castilla y León, 969 million (12 %).
Castilla-La Mancha will receive 1.147,1 million (14,2 %); Catalonia 348,5 million (4,3 %); Valencian Community, 204 million (2,5 %); Estremadura 890,2 million (11,1 %), Galicia 889,8 million (11 %), Madrid, 76,5 million (0,9 %), Murcia, 219,2 million (2,7 %); Navarra, 136,5 million (1,7 %); Basque country 87,1 million (1,1 %) and La Rioja, 70 million (0,9 %).
