Tomato IX World CongressDURING THREE DAYS IT WILL ADDRESS DIFFERENT ASPECTS ABOUT TOMATO GROWING.

Tomato experts from practically all over the world meet in the Portuguese city of Estoril at the biannual event on this crop that will conclude next Wednesday.

During the opening ceremony, the Minister of Agriculture will take the floor, Rural Development and Fisheries of Portugal, Anthony Serrano; the president of the Municipal Chamber of Estoril, Antonio d'Orey Capucho; the president of the Junta de Extremadura; that of the Tomato Industrial Association, Martin Stilwell, and that of the International Mediterranean Processed Tomato Association, Constantino Vaia.

In thirty papers distributed during the three days, specialists from the European Union, China, United States, Australia, Japan, Russia and Brazil will address cultivation problems, treatments and manipulation.

Like this, it will be about the production per hectare, the transformation and sale of the product, consumption growth and sustainable production.
