One of the signs of the consolidation of the sector is the organization of the Forum of Agroecology and Biodiversity in the Canary Islands, which this year reaches its third edition. The celebration of the event will take place in the palm tree town of Los Llanos de Aridane, of the 20 to the 23 November.
The program of this event is especially rich, Since during the course of the Forum the first meeting of ecological eco-eaters of the Canary Islands will be held, the third meeting of organic operators in the Canary Islands and the meeting of the monitoring table of the action plan for the development of organic production in the Canary Islands.
One of the objectives of this Forum organized by the Canarian Institute of Agri-Food Quality, is the promotion of associations in this sector, to strengthen it, help improve your marketing and better manage your resources, since in the primary sector it is more than demonstrated that the union makes the force.
This Forum will also be important to continue with the task of rescuing the traditional varieties of our agriculture, for which the Red Canaria de Semillas organizes a series of activities in order to promote recovery, conservation and exchange of seeds of traditional varieties, within a biodiversity conservation strategy that is considered extremely important.
In addition to these professional meetings, the days 22 and 23 The third Agroecological Fair will be operating in the center of Los Llanos, with information stands, of exhibition and sale, in addition to informative activities, awareness raising and practical workshops for the public. It is even planned to have an ecological canteen.
