The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and waters of the Canary Islands, through the Canarian Institute of Food Quality (ICCA), has granted the Regulatory Councils of the Protected Designations of Origin of Wines and Cheeses of the Archipelago aid worth 459.420,88 EUR.
Of these funds, Cheese PDOs correspond to 60.000 euros and the Wine PDOs are assigned 399.420,88 EUR, informs the counseling.
The director of this autonomous body, Jose Diaz-Flores, has already signed the resolution granting direct subsidies to the management bodies of the PDOs of these products recognized in the archipelago, What add up to a total of 13 entities, 11 corresponding to wines and 2 to cheeses.
