San Mateo hosts the II Regional Wine Fair, Cheese and honey.

IT WILL TAKE PLACE ON DAYS 26 And 27 NOVEMBER IN THE MUNICIPAL MARKET OF LA VEGA.

Nineteen wineries, twenty one cheese producers; sixteen honey producers and four gofio brands, as a guest product, all of them from the seven Canary Islands, will be part of the II Regional Wine Fair, Cheese and Honey.
For the organization of this second edition of the Fair, a budget of 17.000 EUR, but the organizers of the same consider it well invested since "we are sure that it will be possible to exceed the 22.000 visitors who came to it last year, as well as the average sale of the products exhibited in the same, that in the first edition it was 90% ", as revealed by the president of the Mancomunidad and mayor of Tejeda.

The activities scheduled at the Regional Wine Fair, Queso y Miel de Canarias will be developed in the warehouse attached to the Agricultural and Artisan Market of the municipality of La Vega de San Mateo, a surface 1100 M2.

The official opening, Saturday 26 November, It will be followed by different actions to strengthen ties between the different island operators and establish commercial relationships through the different stands, in addition to promoting the products, explanatory panels on the production of agri-food products, audiovisual documents, wine tastings, etc.

This Fair constitutes a unique opportunity for the Mancomunidad de Municipios de las Medianías de Gran Canaria to become a regional showcase for our most emblematic products and bring Canarian wine producers closer, cheese and honey to our region.

La Colina Artisan Cheese Factory will attend with a careful selection of its cured and semi-cured cheeses, representing the western sector of Gran Canaria.
