In a proposition of law, Oramas claims that fraud involving the sale of banana and banana Canary pursued and that negotiations with Morocco open to facilitate the entry of bananas from the islands in that country through tariff exemptions.

Oramas warns that it is in danger the survival of the banana sector in the Canary Islands, of great social importance, economic, cultural and landscape, "As a result of record production and marketing that has caused prices decline alarmingly".

The Government of Spain should pay the cost of transporting bananas from the Canary Islands to the Peninsula in a minimum percentage of 50 percent, according to a decree 2009, but "seven years later still does not start this measure", complaint.

Cultivation in a difficult situation by the strong competition from bananas of ACP countries, "They are entering duty-free Europe", says Ana Oramas.
