The actions undertaken between the livestock farmers' platform and the Fuerteventura Cabildo to demand a reform of the distribution of European POSEI resources for the benefit of the sheep and goat livestock sector, materialized in an agreement with the Vice-Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of the Government of the Canary Islands, Alonso Brook.

The purpose of this agreement is to introduce a proposal for the redistribution of POSEI funds for the next year of 2015, in order to increase the participation of the sector in European financing.

The President of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Mario Cabrera, recalled that in addition to the agreed change for the resources of 2015, “There is a commitment from the President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Paulino Rivero, not only to advance this substantial change, but to progressively recover in several annuities what is owed from previous annuities of the additional POSEI. We trust that this will be the case and we also trust that the State will do the same and recognize this debt by contributing its 50%.".
