COAGRISAN SIGFITO receives the award for his management of agricultural packaging.

This is the second time that the cooperative of the village is distinguished by its environmental work in the recycling of packaging of plant protection products.

Once again, and go -the previous two was in 2012-, agricultural cooperative COAGRISANagain received the prize has been awarded SIGFITO (Collection System Containers Agrarios) for its environmental work in the agricultural recycling containers.

In the ceremony held at the headquarters of the cooperative it was present the Minister of Territorial Policy, Sustainability and safety of the Canary Islands, Nieves Lady Barreto,the Director General of SIGFITO, Rocío Pastor and the Governing Board of the cooperative headed by its president, Juan José del Pino.

The director said that the cooperative SIGFITO COAGRISANit has earned the distinction for being the company that recycled packaging last year in the Canary Islands. Also, Pastor noted that the cooperative not only manages the packaging of their cooperators, but also receive any other farmer in the municipality, which is a greater awareness on environmental protection.

Nieves Lady Barreto, in addition to thanking the cooperative commitment to the environment, He has publicly recognized the environmental work SIGFITO points in the recycling of agricultural packaging. On the other hand, Juan José del Pino thanked SIGFITO recognition to the work that the cooperative has been playing for over a decade, to preserve the environment and sustainable development of agriculture in the municipality.

Del Pino stressed that the successful management of waste would not be possible without the collaboration of each of the cooperators.
