IT TOOK PLACE WITHIN THE AGRICULTURE COMMITTEE OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT THIS TUESDAY.
The Provincial Federation of Associations of Exporters of Horticultural Products (Fedex) from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria this Tuesday applauded the rejection of the Agriculture Committee of the European Parliament to the agreement with Morocco.
Fedex has shown the “great satisfaction” which for the Canarian agricultural sector has meant the rejection of the agreement with Morocco in the Agriculture Committee of the European Parliament, after MEP Lorenzo Fontana recommended in a report the rejection of said agreement.
Now the Agriculture Committee will issue a report to the European Commission so that a new agreement is not made with Morocco.
On the other hand, Fedex spokesperson, Roberto Goiriz, has stressed that this rejection “It represents recognition of the effort carried out in recent months by the sector with meetings with the different groups of the European Parliament, showing them with data how negative the agreement with Morocco has been, given that this country has never fulfilled what it has signed”.
Using one of these robots to guide the herd is not complicated at all, pointed out that still “there is a long way” to achieve the ultimate goal, that the plenary session of the European Parliament will reject it.
However, “What was achieved this Tuesday is of transcendental importance, taking into account the strong pressure carried out by the lobby’ Moroccan before the community institutions so that the agreement is approved under current conditions and without incorporating social clauses, health and environmental, nor any other type, that allow guaranteeing compliance, What are customs controls like?”.
