The Spanish Society of Organic Agriculture and Agroecology informs of the start of this course the next day 23 April, for which the registration period is still open on their website.
The course responds to the increase in organic farming area in Spain, which has more than 57.000 Has vine and 450 wine cellars and bottling plants.
However, until very recently, Current European regulations did not allow wine to be labeled as organic.. It only allowed the term “wine from organic farming”.
The 8 Last March, the new European regulations that regulate the production of organic wine in Europe were published.: THE IMPLEMENTING REGULATIONS (EU) NO. 203/2012 FROM THE COMMISSION, of 8 March of 2012, that modifies the Regulation (CE) nº 889/2008, establishing provisions for the application of the Regulation (CE) nº 834/2007 of the Council, with regard to the implementing provisions referring to organic wine.
The main objective of the course is to offer training to small and medium-sized farmers and businessmen in order to promote and strengthen the organic wine production sector..
Students from the Autonomous Communities of Castilla La Mancha may enroll in the course., Canary Islands, Extremadura and Valencia.
The course is free and is co-financed by the European Social Fund.
