This Regulation presents, among other news, a series of requirements related to: Mandatory nutrition information—introduces mandatory nutrition labeling for most processed foods—, more readable labels, country of origin, vegetable oils or fats, artificial nanomaterials…

Regarding allergens, These must be indicated on both packaged and non-packaged foods - this is the case of most hospitality establishments - that are sold to the final consumer..

In packaged foods, information about allergens must appear in the list of ingredients, It must be highlighted through a typographical composition that clearly differentiates it from the rest of the list of ingredients..

In the absence of a list of ingredients, the mention “contains” must be included., followed by the substance or product listed in an annex to this European provision.
