THE ALLOCATION INTENDED TO DEFUND TRAINING ACTIONS IS EQUIPPED WITH 154.000 EUR.

The Government of the Canary Islands has made public the Order by which they are convened, for exercise 2012, subsidies for vocational training of people working in the livestock sector, provided for in the Canary Islands EAFRD Rural Development Program 2007-2013.

These aid are aimed at covering training actions that aim to improve the professionalization of the personnel of said subsector.. They are destined for this line, credits worth 154.000 EUR, financed in a 39,07% by the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, in a 34,83% through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and in 26,10% by the Ministry of agriculture, Food and environment.

They will be able to benefit from the same, municipalities, the associations or groups of municipalities, professional organizations and agricultural associative entities and federations of these, and other non-profit agricultural associations whatever the legal form of constitution they adopt.

The requirements to be met will be, among others, the holding, after the subsidy application, of courses aimed at adults who work in the livestock sector, of a minimum duration of 20 teaching hours, that are approved by the General Directorate of Rural Development and are taught in the Archipelago.

Courses aimed at improving production techniques will be subject to subsidy., aimed at promoting the modernization and adaptation of agri-food farms and companies to new competitive challenges.

Likewise, priority will be given to those applications that promote environmental improvement., animal welfare, traceability, food and labor safety, as well as training in sustainable forest management practices; with the aim of promoting the sustainability of agricultural companies of the natural environment in which they are based.
