WINNERS tomato canary School CompetitionAnniversary Competition Tomato Canario School have participated 126 schools, who have contributed 5.684 divided between newsrooms and drawing school work between 3 and 14 years.

Export Federation Hortofrutícolas of the province of Las Palmas, FEDEX and Exporters Association Cosecheros tomatoes Tenerife, ACETO, sponsored by the Canary Cajamar Foundation and the Councils of Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, He has promoted a school essay competition and drawings on the occasion of the celebration of 130 Anniversary of the Canarian tomato export.

The competition has had among its objectives visible activity Canary tomato exports, and sensitize school children about the importance of this subsector in the recent history of the Canaries and the value it brings to the economy and society today.

According to the provisions of the competition rules, more than five thousand works submitted were assessed by a jury set up by members of FEDEX and ACETO, Company Ironika Keyword Marketing and Naviera FEDEX.

The jury awarded the first prizes, in different categories, Katia Diaz Mendoza, Azael Moreno Yanez and Gabriel Camacho Mera. The second prizes were awarded to Maria Veronica Sapino Bitetti, Sosa Matias Quintana and Sergio Medina Godoy. And third awards have been for Daniel Alonso Jaime, Alberto Herrera Artiles and Miranda Salazar Amelie Cifchite.

nine awards have failed, three per category, plus twenty finalists, they also receive the corresponding prize, selected from 5.684 work presented 126 schools in the islands of Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria, students from 3 and 14 years.

The award ceremony of the contest prizes will take place at the Castle Museum of Mata, within the framework of the exhibition "Years of Light ', the importance of the British colony, next Thursday 16 March to the 17:30 hours.
