The Mogán city council creates a battery of measures to reactivate the field.
The first actions of the Department of Rural Development, directed by Ernesto Hernández, have been the achievement of a grant from the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and a municipal contribution to make a technical engineer available to farmers and ranchers.
In addition, the council will create the necessary pathways to promote current agricultural markets and the creation of alternative ones, in order to make direct sales channels effective.
The government is also working these days on the "immediate" implementation of the training development of farmers and ranchers, especially attending to their needs and demands.
The mayor and the Councilor for Rural Development plan an active agenda of meetings with the different associations, cooperatives and irrigation communities in the sector.
