The MAGRAMA, in collaboration with different entities in the sector (ASAJA, AFHSE, COAG, COEXPHAL, Agro-food cooperatives of Spain, FEPEX and PROEXPORT), has prepared a “GUIDE TO GOOD HYGIENE PRACTICES IN AGRICULTURAL PRIMARY PRODUCTION”.
The Guide aims to be a tool to facilitate farmers' compliance with current legislation., since it includes a series of recommendations to reduce contamination risks to a minimum, with chemical or microbiological agents, in the phase of primary production and related operations of agricultural products.
Among the factors that can cause the presence of microorganisms or undesirable substances in agricultural products are:
Agricultural water.
Phytosanitary products.
Organic and inorganic fertilizers.
The hygienic and sanitary conditions of workers and agricultural establishments.
Sanitary conditions in related operations: harvest, load, transport, storage and packaging on farms.
