It is a yogurt made with raw goat milk.
Under the "Harvest Direct", the new product goes on the market this March (with obtaining health registration and all legal requirements) and, definitely, in May will be its massive presentation.
The difference that it presents with other yogurts lies in the fact that the milk obtained comes from a goat herd that is not exclusively subjected to feed; eat grass and green, in semi-libertated.
From Direct Harvest they explain that the work is carried out with small family farms, that comply with the regulations, are registered and subject to inspection by the Deputy Ministry of Livestock. It is a type of sustainable livestock with agricultural exploitation.
For the realization of the project, unemployed people linked to the agricultural sector have been trained, being the responsible cheese and yogurt master: Vanessa Pulido Gutierrez.
The philosophy of the project tries to give a name to a product of a sustainable and familiar agriculture, trying to show that a fair price for the rancher and the farmer is possible, through the consumer, which transparently receives all the information on the final cost of what it buys.
The 75% of livestock belongs to small farms, but the market is made up of large supermarkets and large companies that import powdered milk to make cheese and yogurt, with which the rancher and the farmer of our islands cannot compete.
