INVENTORY INCLUDES INFORMATION AND PROVENANCE OF RAW MATERIAL OVER 100 QUESOS.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment has developed the first edition of the Electronic Catalog of cheeses from Spain.
Cheeses of Spain there are many, all with different features and especially with a great diversity: fresh or matured, paperback, semi-soft or hard, Clotting enzyme, or mixed acid, cow's milk, sheep, goat or mixtures thereof.
Until a few days ago, which it was published the first electronic catalog cheeses from Spain, there was no actual inventory in which to consult the large number of cheeses that exist in Spain.
The Ministry of Agriculture attempted to collect this information in different directories or catalogs of Spanish cheeses that were published in the years 1969, 1973 and 1990, Besides the "Spanish Inventory of Traditional Products" (1996) in which a part is dedicated to Spanish cheeses.
In order to spread the characteristics, personality and originality of the great heritage that today constitute the Spanish cheeses, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment has developed the first edition of the Electronic Catalog of Spain Cheese.
Electronic catalog Spain cheeses collects information on raw materials and their origin cheese, dairy breeds, production systems, technologies used, as well as guidelines and tips for tasting and buying.
It also allows a search of both Appellations of Origin and protected geographical indications, cheese as no figure of recognized quality. You can search various Spanish cheeses by Autonomous Region, by type of milk, or your brand or quality scheme.
This catalog presents the cheeses as a detailed fact sheets with information on its features and appearance, processing zone, origin, type of cheese and organoleptic characteristics, among other identifying elements.
The information can be downloaded or printed on cards that come with all sorts of details about each of the more than 100 cheese that has the Electronic Catalog of cheese from Spain.
A catalog on line will allow the immediate incorporation of those cheeses that are not included in the Electronic Catalog of cheeses from Spain, or those that are made in the future.
